Heath Ledger is a one-of-a-kind actor. He was the best in a generation and on the 20th anniversary of one of his best roles as Patrick Verona in 10 Things I Hate About You, we decided to celebrate his iconic performance and that smile.
10 Things I Hate About You was a modern-adaptation of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew and Ledger was perfectly cast as Patrick (Petruchio in the play) . The character was mischievous, anti-social, yet insanely charming and oozing in charisma when required to woo Kat.
Again, we cannot distress that Heath Ledger is perfect in this role. He’s everything that was not only needed to bring Shakespeare’s works into a modern world but he was also exactly what everyone needed in the 90s. Ledger brought a gravitas to the role that was hardly scene in “teen rom-coms” and he’s a staple of the genre…

We definitely miss Heath Ledger, he was a powerhouse of charm and charisma. But will definitely appreciate him at every opportunity we get!
