There is not denying the fact that we are all fascinated with tattoo fails, and when they’re inked onto celebrities we’re all the more intrigued. Zac Efron, Pete Davidson, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Halsey are all living proof. It’s morbid but it’s true.
So let’s indulge our passion and take a trip down memory lane to the time when Ryan Gosling accidentally tattooed a cactus onto his arm.
Back in 2011 the beloved Hollywood boyfriend casually admitted that he had messed up when trying to DIY the tattoo. In spite of intentions, it looks a lot like a prickly little succulent of some sort.
“One of my tattoos is supposed to be a monster’s hand dropping a bloody heart but I did it myself with a tattoo kit so it looks like a cactus.” he said.
To be fair, once you know what Gosling’s tattoo is meant to be, you can kind of see it. The monster hand could belong to someone like the Grinch for sure, if you open you mind and go a bit cross-eyed.
But either way, Ryan Gosling’s chill attitude towards his DIY tattoo just make him even more likeable. Plus this is just one of multiple tattoos that he has, which include one of the cover art of children’s book The Giving Tree because his mother used to read it to him and his sister.
All in all I think about 99.999% of people would still rate Ryan Gosling even with his give-it-a-crack accidental cactus tattoo, if not more so.
