Tom Brady Is Not A Member Of The Brady Bunch, And Other Facts You Should Probably Know Before The Super Bowl

The big game always brings out the once-a-year footy fans.

Be on your feet, because Monday is Super Bowl day in Australia, and that means you’re going to encounter a whole lot of people pretending to know American football.

So you don’t sound like a complete twat, you can get some practice in by catching the real-life live gridiron game on a barge at Sydney’s Darling Harbour this Sunday from 3pm, hosted by Kayo, who’s also hosting the actual Super Bowl on Monday.

Now, we all know that the Super Bowl half-time entertainment is epic – and that Janet Jackson took it next-level with “Nipplegate” in 2004.

This year it’s Maroon 5’s turn to turn it on, or completely blow up Twitter with rants.

As for the game, it’s between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots.

You’re going to hear a lot about one player in particular – Tom Brady. No relation to Greg, Peter or Bobby, or Marcia, Jan or Cindy for that matter.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!

Tom Brady is quarterback for the Patriots, husband of supermodel Gisele Bündchen, and largely described as a GOAT, probably for a combination of the two.

He has five Super Bowl rings in his collection already. That’s some serious bling.

He’s also forever linked with “Deflategate”, with allegations that he ordered the deliberate deflating of footballs in the 2014-15 playoffs. A big no-no in American football.

So get pumped up, and grab plenty of snacks. It’s time to play.
