Millie Bobby Brown Responded To Those 'Evil Eleven' Theories, And I'm Concerned About Stranger Things 4

Since the third season of Stranger Things dropped, and fans proceeded to binge the eight episodes in like, two days, there have been questions about where the show is going next.

But without a whole lot (or any) information to work with at this point, us dedicated fans have been forced to settle for the next best thing: speculation.

If you’ve been keeping up with all things ST, you’ll know that one of the bigger theories out there (aside from Hopper being alive) is that Eleven is going to turn to the dark side next season.

*You remember what I said about spoilers, yeah?*

Some fans have come to believe that Eleven may still be infected by the Mind Flayer, despite the fact that she tore the creature from her leg.

What. A. Badass.

As a result of the attack from the spidery-shadowy monster thing, Eleven lost her powers, and this only has people more convinced that it’s lurking within her. This would mean that sweet little El is well on her way to becoming an evil being like Billy.

To be fair, more unusual things than this have happened on the show. Like, a child being sucked into an alternate dimension where he has to communicate with his mother using Christmas lights… So, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

During an interview with Elle Magazine, Millie Bobby Brown, (a.k.a the lady behind El’s character), spoke for the first time about the concept and well… she didn’t shoot it down.

“I kind of like it! I’m into it,” she started.

However, the 15-year-old actor made sure to highlight her performance was not intentionally hinting at this trajectory.

“I wasn’t playing it like that [in season three],” she said.

“We don’t know what happens in season 4. I definitely don’t. In scenes after the Mind Flayer grabbed me, I wasn’t playing it as I was infected. I was definitely playing it as normal as possible.”

Bobby Brown went on to share that theories like this one mess with her a little because she realises they’re certainly possible in the world of Stranger Things. But in saying that, she also stated that she wouldn’t be against an evil Eleven.

“And what if she is the villain? That would be so cool,” she told the mag.

“Wouldn’t that be cool? I’d love to be the villain, but then I also wouldn’t because Eleven is perfect. It would suck.”

I don’t know about you guys, but if I have to sit through another final season that turns a powerful female lead into a villain, there’s a good chance I’ll riot.

Same goes if they kill off Hopper for real.
