Bless David Harbour’s Adorably Daddy Vibes In His Teaser Of What's Going Down In Stranger Things Season 3

David Harbour saying "baby daughter" on repeat please.

Stranger Things season three is right around the corner to reunite us with the supernatural terrors that plague the town of Hawkins, Indiana. According to David Harbour, AKA Chief of Police Jim Hopper, AKA adorable adoptive dad to Eleven, AKA the man that Joyce Byers should be with, his character goes on an emotional ride this season.

I am happy to report that Stranger Things is leaning hard into the Hopper-as-dad dynamic that we saw develop last season. Harbour revealed during a panel discussion at the 2019 MCM Comic Con in London over the weekend (24-26May19) that Hopper’s relationship with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is a central part of this season’s plot.

“Millie is growing up and I think that’s the terrifying thing for Hopper. He doesn’t like the idea of his baby daughter hanging out with boys,” he said. “So the season starts with him a little bit uncomfortable. His daughter is becoming a teenager and beginning to find herself, so that’s scarier for Hopper than any Demogorgon creature that he’s going to have to deal with.”

David Harbour referring to eleven as Hopper’s baby daughter is the adorably dad content that we need. I’m melting.

David Harbour also teased that the season finale is particularly emotional, so gear up friends.

“It’s very unexpected what happens in the end and it’s very, very moving,” he said. “I think episode eight is the most moving thing we’ve ever shot.”

The long-awaited season three of Stranger Things drops on Netflix on July 4, so clear the calendar and prepare to binge.
