Star Wars fatigue is very real. After all, there’s a new (final?) film coming out in mere months and the shops are very, very empty of figures and ships, following the failure of anyone to actually buy any for Solo or The Last Jedi.
So maybe what the franchise needs is something which reconnects the original, ageing fans with that younger part of themselves that still gets excited about the magical space wizard films.
Something nostalgic. Something retro. Something… N-64.
Animator John Stratman has made a goddamn masterpiece. Sure, it’s a shot by shot remake of the trailer, but… can’t you just feel your fingers twitching to hit jump over Kylo Ren’s ship?
Screw the next gen consoles. Make this, put it on a tabletop, and you will get all of the 20 cents’ in the world, Disney.
