To Those Who Have Leaked The Rise Of Skywalker's Plot, No One Wants Your Spoilers

Those spoilers can stay in a galaxy far, far away.

We’re a few months out before the highly-anticipated release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and buzz is already starting to build towards galactic levels that could reach a galaxy far, far away.

With the release of the final trailer, fans have worked themselves into a frenzy trying to dissect every frame in an attempt to glean info about a movie that almost all of us actually don’t know that much about despite all the hype.

While J.J. Abrams and the rest of the Star Wars cast and crew have managed to keep a tight lid on spoilers and details about the film, the internet has a way of ruining things for everyone and someone on Reddit as already supposedly figured out the entire plot for Rise of Skywalker.

We’re not talking like a basic outline but an entire act-by-act breakdown of the entire film. Obviously this should all take this with a Wookie-sized grain of salt as it is all unconfirmed and could well be completely inaccurate. The Redditor assures that their sources are solid so make of that what you will.

But the accuracy of those Rise of Skywalker spoilers isn’t the point here. The point is that those Reddit users leaking information about the film can take all their spoilers and get stranded on Jakku because we don’t want those anywhere here.

Cool, thanks.

While this is far from the first time a Star Wars film has been spoiled well ahead of its release (The Phantom Menace was a particularly notorious example), it’s always been a bit of a bummer because not everyone wants to know this info. It feels particularly more impactful this time around as The Rise of Skywalker is meant to be the culmination of the last eight Star Wars films.

This whole spoiler thing is not unlike all the furor prior to the release of Avengers: Endgame, which worked as well as it did because nothing got leaked ahead of time.

It’s understandable some people want to know what’s going on in The Rise of Skywalker given the lack of information, but spoiling the entire film just ruins the entire experience for all the fans who have waited patiently for so long.

No spoilers goddamn it.

So to all those people spoiling The Rise of Skywalker for everyone, please take your Star Wars leaks and go to Jakku until the film is out. Some may want to ruin the film for themselves ahead of time but most of us just want to experience it without knowing anything ahead of time.
