The Marvel comic book legend Stan Lee passed away at the age of 95 after making a huge contribution to the entertainment world. The details of his death have just been released via TMZ.
According to the death certificate, heart failure and respiratory failure are listed as the cause of death. Apparently he was also suffering from aspiration pneumonia, which the coroner considers a “significant condition contributing to death”.
He passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on November 12 after paramedics responded to his home in the Hollywood Hills following a medical emergency.
Lee was laid to rest at a private family funeral and his death certificate notes he was cremated and his ashes were reportedly given to his daughter Joan.
His occupation was listed as a writer in the publishing business, which is an understatement of the love felt for Stan Lee’s life’s work.
