Spider-Man: Far From Home is the first movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows Avengers: Endgame and it looks bloody heartbreaking.

Set right after the events of Endgame and Tony Stark’s death, the film shows how the Infinity Gauntlet snaps affected the world.
If you weren’t expecting to see big changes in Spider-Man’s world, you’d be very wrong – the MCU is about to change a lot after Endgame.
In the new trailer for the film we see everyone’s is in mourning following Iron Man’s death with Spider-Man pictured looking at a mural of the hero and tearfully telling Happy Hogan, “I just really miss him.”
“I miss him too. I don’t think Tony would have done what he did if he didn’t know that you were going to be here after he was gone,” Happy tells him.

It’s been five years since the first snap that saw half of all living things dusted and the trailer appears to show a few characters including Ned, MJ, Betty and Flash who were dusted and returned thanks to the Avengers.
The biggest reveal from the trailer, however, is when Fury explains Jake Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck AKA Mysterio is “from Earth, just not ours. Fury explains this is possible because the “snap tore a hole in our dimension”.
So, if the multiverse is a thing it could be how they can explain why the recently acquired Fox properties like the X-Men and Fantastic Four haven’t previously been around to help save the world. If this is true, it’ll probably play a huge role in the future of the MCU.
When Peter asks the very fair question of why some of his other super friends aren’t helping him out, he’s told Thor has gone “off world” and Captain Marvel is “unavailable”.
For those who’ve seen Endgame, we know that Thor left earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy, so will he appear in Guardians Vol. 3? The script was reportedly finished a couple of years ago, so we’re not sure if it’ll definitely happen, but we can dream!
This also means that Fury is still in touch with Carol Danvers.
Beck tells Peter about how saving the world requires “sacrifice”, adding, “sometimes people die,” which, like, obviously he knows, but thanks for the reminder, dude.
It seems as though Happy and Nick Fury believe Spider-Man to be someone who can help the world move on from the loss of Iron Man.
Peter is heard saying, “The world needs the next Iron Man,” and Fury asks him, “Are you going to step up or not?”
Peter’s even seen wearing Tony’s glasses in one scene.
Now, if you, like me, were wondering what everyone is going to do about tech now that Stark is gone, we do get a glimpse of Peter fixing his suit and making upgrades. He might not be Tony Stark, but he’s definitely very smart and can do upgrades on a smaller scale, so that will be cool to see.
