5 Saturday Night Live Sketches To Watch When You're Having A Bad Day

Prepare to giggle inappropriately.

Tired of binging ASMR videos? Are feel-good cooking videos not doing it for you anymore? Have no fear, the best of Saturday Night Live is here.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an SNL stan or you don’t even know what a punchline is, we’ve got you covered. Check out these 5 SNL sketches to watch when you’re having a bad day.

Super Showcase Spokesmodels

Fan of Bridesmaids? You’ll love this. Throughout this Price Is Right spoof, Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig play two incompetent spokesmodels with funny accents, taking a failed contestant through all the prizes she didn’t win. The best part? Oh I don’t know, maybe the constant breaking of character, the props breaking on stage and Bill Hader’s inability to keep a straight face.

Debbie Downer: Disney World

While we all know a Debbie Downer, you might not know that the terminology originated from this very sketch. Back in the Saturday Night Live glory days, the cast of Jimmy Fallon, Fred Armisen, Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz and guest-star Lindsay Lohan, joined forces for one of the most memorable SNL sketches of all time. Keep a close eye on this one and watch as each and every actor breaks from the iconic characterisation of Rachel Dratch.

(Do It In My) Twin Bed

One of the first sketches to mark the new ‘SNL Digital Short’ era, is this original song which will forever be remembered in comedy history. This banger of a track perfectly encapsulates that awkward moment when you’re trying to have subtle sex because your parents are in the house. Not to mention, the vocal talents of Kate, Cecily, Noel, Vanessa, Nasim, Aidy, Beck and guest-star Jimmy Fallon, might just give the Glee cast a run for their money.

Match’d

If you’ve ever wondered how Woody Harrelson would go on an MTV dating show, then look no further. Teaming up with Saturday Night Live all-stars Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney, Taran Killam & Cecily Strong, this parody of the cringy, dated reality show, is full of punchlines that’s guaranteed to leave you in stitches, for (Jersey) sure.

The Californians: Stuart Has Cancer

If you’ve ever had a conversation with a Californian, you’ll love this sketch. Uncannily parodying the East Coast trope of being literal human GPS machines, this sketch (and its three sequels) will have you laughing all the way home. More so than the lines themselves however, this sketch is such a pleasure to endure as Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig constantly try and outdo each other with their ridiculous accents. Needless to say, all three stars break one at one point or another.
