Sacha Baron Cohen seems to have found a way to dupe most of the biggest names in conservative America, with everyone from gun lobbyists to Sarah Palin, during the filming of his new show, Who Is America?
But there’s one person so far that he hasn’t been able to fool: a small-time gun shop owner.
Norris Sweidan, who owns the Warrior One Guns & Ammo store in Southern California, was asked by Cohen’s producers to be in a documentary about a Hungarian migrant wanting to by a gun.
But the gig was up once Cohen actually entered the show, Sweidan explains.
“He comes in, off the bat you can see in the video I’m looking like, this guy does not look like a Hungarian immigrant, tight ass leather pants, a beard, it just didn’t fit.
Sweidan continues
The moment his words came out of his mouth I was like this guy is full of s***.”
Once Norris notices the Borat actor, he immediately and hilariously starts quoting the film at him as Cohen runs out, leaving his crew behind.
This all begs the question: how the hell were the other, more renown people duped? If a small business owner can see through Sacha’s disguise the second he starts talking, how come nobody else noticed that they were dealing with a (admittedly very skilled) actor?
Either Sacha was having an off day and he really is that good, or all those conservative political figures are just that dumb.
