This Photo Has Us Thinking Ryan Gosling Will Be In Thor: Love And Thunder

This would be awesome.

There have been a lot of A-listers joining the MCU of late with Jake Gyllenhaal in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Salma Hayek in The Eternals and Mahershala Ali as Blade and now we’re thinking Ryan Gosling might appear in the next Thor film.

Just Jared has a photo of Gosling and Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi having lunch together with rumours suggesting the La La Land actor will be joining the MCU.

The pair isn’t known to be friends and haven’t announced any upcoming collaborations, however, it was previously rumoured that Gosling would star in Waititi’s film Akira.

Akira is currently on hold while the director works on Thor 4, so it’s possible they were discussing that film or Next Goal Wins, which will be finished before the MCU flick.

One rumour is that Gosling could be in talks to play Adam Warlock, a character that was first teased in the post-credit scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. At first, it was thought the character would appear in GOTG Vol. 3, but after the photos of Gosling and Waititi’s meeting went public, people now think the character will appear in Thor 4.

Warlock is a very powerful character and many thought he’d make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame as he plays a huge role in those stories in the comics.

Zac Efron, Alexander Skarsgard and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have all been rumoured to be in the running for the role, so it’s definitely not a sure thing at this stage.

It’s pretty clear that Gosling would shine in any role thrown at him and Waititi makes amazing movies, so I’d definitely love to see these two pair up for a project.

At this stage, we know Chris Hemsworth will be returning for the next Thor movie (obviously), and he’ll be joined by Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman who will become Mighty Thor.

The Russo Brothers Reveal This Avengers: Endgame Scene Almost Didn't Happen

The reason why is wild!

Avengers: Endgame featured a crazy number of important characters and it would have no doubt been pretty difficult to get everyone together to shoot the movie, but it turns out there’s one scene featuring three cameos that almost didn’t happen.

Anthony Russo, who co-directed the movie with his brother Joe Russo, has revealed the most difficult cameo to shoot for the movie involved his extended family.

In an interview with, Russo said, “The hardest one was a scene in the movie where it’s the scene in the diner where we introduced Smart Hulk the first time.

“So, he’s sitting there with Ant-Man, Black Widow and Captain America, and there’s these three kids that walk in who are fans of Hulk. They want a picture with him.

“And those three kids are, one is my son Julian. One is my brother’s daughter, Lia. One is my sister’s son, Augie.”

It turns out that school schedules, of all things, made things very difficult to get all three of the kids together to shoot their very quick scene.

The other reason the Hulk scene was somewhat difficult, was that it was a new scene added as part of reshoots.

In the commentary featured on the movie’s Blu-ray, the Russo brothers said that the merging of Bruce Banner and the Hulk was meant to happen at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but when they edited the scene they thought it didn’t fit very well with the movie’s depressing finish.

They then had to scramble to add the scene into Endgame to explain the Hulk’s transformation.

The three kids aren’t the only members of the Russo family to appear in the film. Joe’s daughter Ava played Lila Burton, the daughter of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye who gets dusted while learning archery at the beginning of the film.

Joe also made a cameo as the man in the support group with Captain America who tells a story of going on a date with another man after losing loved ones in the Snap five years earlier.

Who’d have thought getting Tilda Swinton and Robert Redford to appear in the movie would be easier than getting three kids out of school?

The easiest cameo to make happen for the movie was likely Natalie Portman, as her scenes were made possible using old footage from Thor: The Dark World. She did, however, do some extra voice work.

There's An Avengers: Endgame Easter Egg That No One Managed To Spot

The detail in these movies is insane.

There are plenty of Easter Eggs hidden in Avengers: Endgame and while it wasn’t the final film in Phase 3 of the MCU, it did manage to wrap up a lot of loose ends. Speaking of loose ends, there is one Easter Egg that no one managed to spot in the film, but now that we’ve seen it we can understand why.

The hidden Easter Egg came to light in a new video made by Cinesite who were part of the VFX team behind the movie.

It occurs in the scene after the team fails to secure the Tesseract in 2012 New York, and Tony Stark and Steve Rogers decide to go back further in time to S.H.I.E.L.D’s base in 1970 to get the cube and extra Pym Particles to make the trip back home.

It turns out that the underground bunker where Tony runs into his father Howard Stark, is the same bunker where Arnim Zola, one of the villains from Captain America: The First Avenger, was transferring his consciousness to a computer system as we see in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

In the video, Cinesite reveals one of the computers in the scene at S.H.I.E.L.D features Zola’s face. This makes sense timeline-wise as Zola was still alive in 1970 and would have likely been experimenting with the idea of putting his mind online.

Watch the moment here at 0:41 (though it’s worth watching the whole thing to see the amazing VFX):

In case you don’t really remember Zola, he was Red Skull’s right-hand man and one of the lead scientists at HYDRA. He was captured by Captain America around the end of WWII, but was later recruited to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Zola secretly rebuilt HYDRA while working at S.H.I.E.L.D. and turned Bucky Barnes into the Winter Soldier.

In 1972, Zola found out he was terminally ill and it was then that he finally put his consciousness inside a computer so he could continue HYDRA’s work from beyond the grave.

In The Winter Solder, HYDRA destroys the computer while trying to kill Steve and Natasha Romanoff.

So, we can see why no one noticed, but it’s a pretty cool Easter Egg by Cinesite!
