This Medical Fetish Site Could Be Our Saviour In The Global PPE Shortage

Unusual times call for unusual heroes.

In strange and unexpected times, strange and unexpected heroes rise to the challenge. In this particular case, a medical fetish site has donated all of their scrubs to desperate health officials to help them get through the coronavirus pandemic.

MedFetUK is exactly what it sounds like. They sell doctors scrubs for people who have a certain affinity for doctor roleplaying (or whatever else you want to do with scrubs, this is a judgement free zone), but after being contacted by the National Health Service (NHS), they decided to donate all their stock to the healthcare workers.

Hospital systems all over the world have been dealing with major supply shortages as doctors and nurses battle COVID-19 on the front lines. In a Twitter thread, MedFetUK called it scandalous that they were even needing to be asked.

“When we, a tiny company set up to serve a small section of the kink community, find ourselves being sought out as a last-resort supplier to our National Health Service in a time of crisis, something is seriously wrong. In fact, it’s scandalous.”

“So when it’s all over…and the doctors, nurses and other staff have done an amazing job (as they undoubtedly will despite the circumstances)…let’s not forget, or forgive, the ones who sent the NHS into this battle with inadequate armour and one hand tied behind its back.”

It’s not often that you get to see a medical fetish site blast a major world government over the way that they’ve handled a global pandemic, but welcome to 2020 I guess. It’s been a strange year.

So shoutout to MedFetUK and all the other places that have chipped in to help in any way they can. We won’t be out of this mess for a while yet, but the fact that we’re all pulling together is a sure sign that we’ll get there eventually.
