This Love Story Between Two Quarantined Neighbours Is Exactly What We Need Right Now

Love in the age of coronavirus!

It might not be super fun to be self-isolating to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but one Brooklyn-based photographer might have found love in the middle of it all, and the story will definitely brighten your day!

As we know, New York City has been hit pretty hard by COVID-19, but Jeremy Cohen has found a bit of light in all of it.

Jeremy was sitting home alone one day when he looked out his window and saw a stranger dancing on her rooftop.

Speaking to NBC New York, he said, “I looked out on the street, saw this girl dancing. I needed to say hi to her.”

“I waved to her and she waved back. I said how can I get in contact with her.”

What happened next is something out of a romantic comedy.

Jeremy grabbed a pen and wrote his number down on a piece of paper, he then flew it over on a drone so the woman, Tori Cignarella, could text him if she was interested.

In an Instagram post, Jeremy said, “Flirting is normally daunting for me, but since I’ve been quarantined in my apartment for a week now, I was craving some social interaction. 2020 has been off to a terrible start, but I still needed to shoot my shot!”

Tori told the news station, “My first impression was he’s a cool guy, I was definitely intrigued off the bat, it was the coolest thing anyone’s done for me.”

Their first date featured a social distancing twist, “We had dinner on my balcony and her roof. So we could peek over at each other, but we were also on FaceTime having a date, it was fun.”

“Depending on how long this quarantine lasts, I might be in a long distance relationship with someone who lives across the street from me,” Jeremy tells his followers on Instagram.

Unsurprisingly, it was the most unique date Tori had ever been on, “It was funny because I could see him from where I was but then I’d feel weird, I was talking to him (on FaceTime) then I’d look over and I’d see him on his balcony… It was an interesting scenario for sure.”

Jeremy has compared the story to sport, “We don’t have sports right now, so it gives people something to root for.”

But, things get even better. Jeremy bought himself a bubble and actually got to meet Tori in person.

He got in the bubble, asked Tori to come downstairs and they walked the streets together.

He even bought her flowers, but he wasn’t able to actually give them to her due to the whole being in a bubble thing.

So, where does this story go next? We have no idea, but we’re dying to know!
