Attacking The KKK In Red Dead Redemption 2 Doesn’t Affect Your Honour, So You Can Kill Them Without Repercussions

The game lets you get away with punching, shooting, and blowing up the white supremacists.

Video game developers at Rockstar Games have coded in a unique approach to America’s growing alt-right movement and notorious white supremacist organisation, the Ku Klux Klan.

Normally, if you attack or kill someone unprovoked, your honour amongst the populace will be immediately affected. Except for one group of people.

You can probably guess who.

Not good at all.

The Ku Klux Klan appear as random encounters amongst wooded areas in the critically acclaimed Western-RPG, with three different cinematics occurring when you find them. All of which, it should be noted, poke fun at the Klan’s supposed buffoonery.

As you can see in the video below, once they spot you or you spot them, they’ll either start attacking or start scattering in all directions, with Arthur screaming obscenities at them as they flee.

As Gamerevolution notes, the Klan existing in the 1899 setting of Red Dead Redemption 2 is a slight bit anachronistic: the real Klan didn’t show up until 1915. You should also make sure to not leave any survivors, or else you will be reported for murder.

Most importantly, your honour won’t take a beating when you give them a beating. Which may not reflect the exact mood of the time, but is seen as a cheeky nod to the political climate of today.
