It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

If Queer Eye’s Karamo And Antoni Can Sort Out Their Work Conflict So Can You

The pair didn't speak for all of season one.

When you watch anything the Queer Eye guys do, you would expect all five of them are the best of friends.

But it seems as though we were lied to!

In an interview with E! News’ Just the Sip, Karamo Brown has revealed he and Antoni Porowski did not get along at all during season one.

We cannot!

“My castmate from Queer Eye, Antoni, people didn’t know that we had an extreme amount of conflict.”

“We did not talk to each other at all during season one, even though we were shooting together.”

While they didn’t get along off camera, they always kept it professional for their heroes.

“On camera, it was always about that person and about creating something successful, so that was genuine.”

He added, “Before we would go on camera, we would say to each other, ‘This is not about us. It’s about this person.’”

“But off camera, the minute that camera stopped rolling, ‘Girl don’t come near me.’ And vice versa, he didn’t want me to come near him.”

Karamo didn’t reveal why the beef started between the pair in a bid to get people to listen to his podcast, which Antoni appears on, but he did say that “someone in-house” made it all worse.

“Our personalities got along, but then a third party got involved and once that third party got involved, he and I couldn’t even talk to each other. We were too busy hearing rumors of what this third party was spreading about both of us.”

The star added it was eye-opening when they both realised “there was a third toxic party messing with us”. They then had an hour long conversation and at the end of it all questioned why they even went “through all those months of BS’.”

One fan commented on a video Karamo shared with Antoni discussing the podcast and explained a little more about what happened for those who hadn’t listened yet.

They wrote, “The tea I gathered… was that the conflict occurred at the very beginning of their Queer Eye journey. The other members of the Fab 5 and the crew knew about it. Antoni said he is [very] sensitive and he didn’t feel heard or understood.

“Karamo said he FELT betrayed, though he has now realized Antoni did not betray him. There was a 3rd party involved that escalated their negative emotions, to a point where they could not talk to each other to communicate about the issue. But when Karamo reached out to solve the conflict, Antoni was ready to as well. They communicated and listened to each other, and healed the conflict!”

OK, it’s still not super clear, but we can’t really expect them to reveal the whole story.

Antoni and Karamo are now close friends and we are so thankful they decided to talk it out. It’s just another lesson Queer Eye has taught us – if you’re having a conflict with someone at work or wherever it may be, a mature conversation (as tough as that can be sometimes) might be all you need to sort that sh*t out.
