Turns Out It's Not Super Hard To Become The Highest Earning YouTuber

So easy an eight year old could do it.

Ever wondered what the fastest way to earn a house deposit would be? You’re not alone, but I think I’ve found it: open a bunch of toys and get really excited about them, then post it to YouTube. This morning YouTube announced their highest earners of 2019, and an eight year old who does exactly that topped the list.

The eight year old I’m talking about is named Ryan Kaji, who has a channel called Ryan’s World. He has 22.9 million subscribers, and as far as I can tell, basically all he does is open boxes and yell. There was a video where he was swabbing things to grow bacteria, and he swabbed his mum’s teeth. I couldn’t stop watching that part. It was awful.

Anyway, Ryan (or more so his parents) earned more than anyone else on YouTube for 2019, cashing in $26 million USD. That’s about $38 million Australia.

Frankly, if an eight year old can do it, I for sure can. Give me a box of kids toys and I’ll be as stoked as you need me to be for $38 million. I’ll admit it might be a bit weirder having me unbox a bunch of dolls compared to an adorable kid, but I’m willing to give it a go.

The second highest earner was Dude Perfect – a group of five guys who do super impressive trick shots and stunts – who earned $20 million USD.

But the third highest YouTube earner was another kid! Anastasia Radzinskaya is 5 years old and has a channel called Like Nastya. She’s a very cute Russian girl with cerebral palsy who makes videos with her dad, and earned $18 million USD.

There’s probably a lesson about little kids and capitalism here, but I’m going to ignore than in favour of learning that unwrapping shit will make me a millionaire.
