Here Are All The Times TikTok Made Politics Great Again

TIL Donald Trump sounds like your drunk mate in the club.

The newest TikTok to catch all of our attention is a video of a woman drunkenly lipsyncing to a Trump rant about coronavirus. We’ve all seen how Trump speaks by now and the world is kind of used to it at this point, so seeing how well it fits in to a video of your drunk mate chewing your ear off is… something. Political TikToks are a whole new branch of wild, and here are some of the best.

First of all, the TikTok I mentioned before by Kylie Scott of Trump being compared to someone who is way too lit. It works too well.

Back in Aus, we have a whole lot of political TikTokers of our own. The same “drunk in the club” effect that Kylie used somehow also works far too well when it comes to reminding us that Andrew does not, in fact, run the press conference.

At this point I’m going to make the call and say that it’s the most useful filter. We also have a lot of covers of Julia Gillard’s famous misogyny speech. Case in point:

Australia has also produced some very educational TikTokers as well, much to the surprise of all our parents, I’m sure. Who knew that “will we be allowed to get maggoted?” was a legitimate thing you could as a politician in Australia?

Or that Bob Katter’s “But I ain’t spending any time on it” speech would make such a great musical number?

Politics might not be the first thing you think of when you think of TikTok, but there is a whole lot of people out there giving us the rundown on what’s happening in the world through the medium of short, hilarious political TikTok.
