If your 2020 resolution was to stay out of other people’s drama, then I’m sorry to make you break that so soon into the New Year. Early this morning our time, Harry and Meghan announced that they’ve quit being royalty. They’re going to take Archie and live between the UK and the USA instead.
Well, technically they’re going to “step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen” but effectively they’re throwing in the towel. This means that the only Senior Royals left are Queen Liz herself, Charles, Camilla, Will, and Kate.
The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex made the massive announcement on Instagram of all places, because every single part of this story is a drama fest. What might be the best part of it though is the fact that Harry and Meghan seem to have made this choice without telling their fam.

I for one am 100% behind Harry and Meghan on this one, and not just because I’m a messy bitch who lives for drama (although I am). We’ve heard Harry speak about how the intense media scrutiny that came with being royalty killed his mum, and how he was watching the same thing happen to Meghan.
We’ve spent the last few months wondering what tf is wrong with Prince Andrew and whether or not he can actually be arrested for being a massive creep.
And honestly, you just couldn’t pay me enough to have to look that put together 24/7. I like my hoodies and stretchy pants too much.
The two of them deserved to tell the world to piss off ages ago, and the fact that they’ve made it this far without yelling at someone in public is more than commendable. I wish Harry and Meghan all the luck in the world and I’m going to tell someone to get bent today in their honour.
