I NEED To Know Why Cristiano Ronaldo Is Rocking An iPod Shuffle From 2010

*plays 'Club Can't Handle Me' by Flo Rida*

2020 has barely begun but we’ve already been blessed by a new pop culture mystery. Someone please tell me why millionaire soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo is rocking an iPod Shuffle like it’s 2010.

A photo, obtained by TMZ, shows the Juventus soccer star arriving at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy yesterday rocking a slick man bun and a blue iPod Shuffle clipped to his tie.

No – you haven’t travelled back in time. That photo was taken THIS WEEK and that iPod Shuffle was technically discontinued in 2017.

I have so many questions. Did Ronaldo dig this out of his box of old electronics at home? How did he find the charger? Why is a pro footballer with a net worth of $460M listening to a device you can currently buy used on eBay for $25?

And most importantly, what on Earth is Cristiano listening to on that thing?

Personally, I’d like to think Ronaldo was pumping himself up with a bit of ‘DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love’ by Usher, ‘Like A G6’ by Far East Movement or ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ by Flo Rida.

Whatever he’s blasting through those old school headphones is clearly working wonders because Ronaldo just scored his 56th career hat-trick in a 4-0 victory against Cagliari.

The Shuffle and those amp up tracks weren’t the only iconic things to come out of 2010. It was the year of Angry Birds, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Lost came to an end and we were all annoying the sh*t out of each other with vuvuzelas at the World Cup.

Oh, and for those thinking that maybe Cristiano Ronaldo’s iPod Shuffle is a new model from Apple we haven’t seen yet – the reason the iconic music device was discontinued back in 2017 was because of its inability to connect to the Internet.

Now let’s wait and watch Apple create one that can clip onto your tie, blast Usher and connect to the Internet after seeing Ronaldo rocking it.
