A whopping 15 years have passed since Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston called it quits. Fast-forward to this week’s SAG Awards and it looks like the pair are finally back on good terms – and still have that same iconic chemistry.
Photos have emerged of Pitt and Aniston engaging in a heartfelt reunion after the SAG Awards, and the Internet is pretty much exploding with relationship rumours.
Video footage showing the former couple admiring each other’s acceptance speeches has only confirmed that yes, we all want these two to get back together.
It’s not the first time Brad and Jen have shown support for each other in recent years. Late last year, Pitt attended Aniston’s holiday party and according to People sources, “it was a big night for Jen [and] the important people in her life gathered to celebrate with her.”
“Brad fits into that group, and it was natural that he want to come.”
On the SAG Awards red carpet, Pitt told reporters, “I’ll run into Jen, she’s a good friend.”
“The second most important reunion of her year? I understand,” he joked, referring to rumours of an upcoming Friends reunion.
While the pair insist they’re just friends, it begs the question: were these two just taking a ‘break’ for the last 15 years? Is there any chance that they’ll get back together?
“For well over a decade now they have lived totally separate lives and so not surprisingly, they have become totally different people than who they once were when they were together,” a source told People. “They’ve been over each other for longer than they were ever together. It is such ancient history.”
It might be wishful thinking but perhaps their marriage is such ancient history that they’re finally ready to give their relationship a second shot.
Either way, the world will always root for Brad and Jen to get back together. We can only hope the rumours turn into a reality.
