While her ex, Ben Affleck, is calling the paparazzi and trolling the internet with his secret Instagram account, Jennifer Garner is walking her cat in a stroller. Yep. A few weeks back, we reported on Jennifer Garner walking around Los Angeles with a baby-less stroller and now we finally have an explanation.
We spoke about Jennifer Garner and her cat on today’s episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…
In a virtual interview on The Ellen Show, Jennifer Garner opened up about her life at the moment. After discussing what family life is like during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ellen DeGeneres asked the mother of three about that infamous cat photo. In case you’ve forgotten, allow us to refresh your memory.
Jennifer Garner, looking a little embarrassed, explained: “One of my kids was not into going for walks and we just had to get out the house… And I said, ‘What can we do? We have to just commit to going for walks.’ And she said, ‘I wanna take the cat.’ So, we ordered a cat stroller.”
Now, we’re not sure if the jump from wanting to take the cat on a walk to buying a cat-stroller is a necessary, but as long as Jennifer Garner is happy, we don’t mind. Jennifer Garner also detailed that her cat is enjoying the walks in the stroller, so that’s good.
After Ellen told Jennifer Garner that the cat’s facial expression had a ‘Why am I in here?’ feel to it, Jennifer Garner responded by saying: “It’s a little bit like, ‘Why am I in here?’ But I think it’s happy to go out and about, I mean, it’s very titillated by the whole adventure. It’s into it.”
Jennifer Garner also credits the idea of a cat stroller to American author and philanthropist, Jessica Seinfeld. The wife of Jerry Seinfeld is allegedly a cat person and gave Jennifer Garner the inspo. Jennifer Garner said, “I blame Jessica Seinfeld. I want Jessica Seinfeld to know that I blame her because she’s a cat lady and all of a sudden, now I have a cat and a cat stroller and I take it for walks. And it has a leash.”

There you have it. It’s unclear if this was all a publicity stunt or not. We know that Ben Affleck and his new girlfriend have a history of trolling the paparazzi, whether Jennifer Garner is in on the bit, we’re not sure. But, what we do know is, Jennifer Garner is a crazy cat lady now and we love that for her.
