Look, we understand that quarantining can get a little tough and we understand that some of you are desperate to quarantine in the happiest place on earth, but that doesn’t mean you should break into Disney Island, like this man.

Richard McGuire is a 42-year-old man from Florida, who decided that he should live in a “tropical paradise” while in COVID-19 quarantine isolation, by breaking into Disney World. Florida deputies arrested McGuire after Orange County Sheriff’s deputies found him in Disney World’s Discovery Island, according to the NZ Herald.
According to the arrest report, McGuire had been residing in Disney Island since Monday or Tuesday and had planned to camp there for a week. The island, formally known as Treasure Island, had been the site of a zoological park before being closed off to the public in 1999.
Now, we don’t know about you, but the thought of roaming around Disney World with no lines is fun, but the thought of roaming an abandoned island is not. What is this? Cast Away?
Additionally, when caught, McGuire claimed that he didn’t hear numerous deputies searching for him via boat, foot and air because he was asleep in a building. Yeah, right. He also claimed that he didn’t think the place he was in was a restricted area, despite the vast amounts of “no trespassing” signs.
Disney has a policy that states that anyone caught roaming Discovery Island will be subject to a lifetime ban. As a result, its safe to assume that Richard McGuire will never get to reside in the happiest place on earth ever again.
According to the arrest report, McGuire was arrested on a trespassing charge and subsequently taken to jail without incident.
