Dobrik took to Twitter last week to tell his 4.5M followers, “my friend has been drunk texting my assistant so I printed his texts out and put them on a billboard.”
If you’re already thinking, yikkkeeesss, the pics only make it worse.
The first photo shows Dobrik’s assistant Natalie Noel showing the messages on her phone, the second shows a huge billboard printed with the texts, the third shows a close-up of the texts and – to really hammer the level of embarrassment home – the fourth shows the sender of the texts, Todd Smith, suitably pissed off about it.
If you thought you suffered from hangover-induced anxiety, this is on a whole new level.
Imagine waking up after a big night with a rough head, going for a drive or outside to get some fresh air and seeing your texts blown up on a billboard for the world to see.
They’re not the kind of gibberish you usually send when you’re three sheets to the wind, either. In the very one-sided chat, Smith writes, “can I stay with you or not?” and “I feel like I’ve ruined my shot with you.”
The funniest has to be, “text me when you wake up. Let’s go to Santa Monica babbyyyy” because making ambitious plans after a few drinks is a mood we can all relate to.
Considering David Dobrik has millions of followers across his various social media platforms and YouTube channel, there’s a lot of people laughing over this text message stitch up right now.
Dobrik has so many loyal followers that he’s even had to ask them to stop rocking up to his house. Late last year, he took to his Instagram stories to vlog about the repeated visit from unwanted visitors that refused to leave.
