Today I Learned That Greta Thunberg's Little Sister Is A Famous Swedish Singer

Honestly, the whole family is impressive.

When Greta Thunberg isn’t busy being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, clapping back at world leaders, or getting stuck on the wrong side of the Atlantic, she spends a lot of time with her family – who are, by the way, also very impressive people. I learned today that Greta’s younger sister, Beata Ernman Thunberg, is a famous Swedish singer.

Yes, getting stuck on the wrong side of the Atlantic. Listen to the GOAT team tell you what happened…

Beata is following in her parents footsteps here. Greta and Beata’s mum is Malena Ernman, an opera singer who represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. It’s a damn good performance, too. Not as many spinning violin dudes as I usually expect from Eurovision, but her dress looks amazing on her and there are some pretty weird / impressive high notes towards the end.

Their dad, Svante Thunberg, is an actor and producer. No Eurovision high notes for him, but he’s still very much around the scene.

Beata, who is only 15 by the way, was chosen as the face of a series of books called “Handbook for Superheroes” which deal with bullying – something Beata and Greta know a lot about. While we all know about Greta’s Aspbergers, Beata lives with OCD and ADHD.

Appearing on a TV show called Malou, Beata first performed a song called “Bara Du Vill” as part of the book tour.

Since then, she’s been performing on other TV shows and at concerts. Greta even gave her a shoutout which introduced the rest of the world to Beata’s talents.

I always had a vague knowledge that Beata and the entire Ernman-Thunberg family were super talented individuals, but after actually reading into it I’m frankly jealous of them all. My new goal is to be even half as cool as one of them, I’ll let you know if I ever get there.
