This Isn’t The First Time A Fashion Designer Has Called Out The Kardashian-Jenners

"She won’t tag, mention or @...Unless it’s paid.”

Another day, another Kardashian-Jenner controversy – and this time, Kylie Jenner is in the hot seat. Hear all about it below:

This week, Jenner shared a photo of herself sporting a bright, jewel-encrusted mini dress designed by Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing. She captioned the image, “Thank you my love @olivier_rousteing for the most perfect bday dress.”

While Jenner’s followers flooded the comments section with compliments, not everyone was feeling the love. Fashion designer Michael Costello slid into the comments section, “Thank you Oliver for the perfect bday dress.”

“And thank you to the no name designers who work tirelessly around the clock on custom looks who she won’t tag, mention or @…Unless it’s paid,” he wrote. “And thank you to the glam team who always gets tagged no matter what.”

“This post has nothing to do with me as Kylie only wears something from me once a year and I’m lucky if I get a decent pic to post,” Costello added. “No shade to any of her team who styles her and no shame to the glam team. Even though we know you can not wait to unfollow me and drag me for filth!”

But wait, there’s more.

“But it’s sad that designers work so so so so hard on these opportunities to dress these gorgeous popular women and they only tag the major high end designers like Oliver but forget about the other ones,” the designer continues.”(this has nothing to do with my brand) but it definitely has a lot to do with the LA designers, why not tag at least one? Not all the time but maybe once in a while.”

Sadly, this isn’t the first time a Kardashian-Jenner has been called out by a fashion designer. Last month, Jenner copped backlash for allegedly refusing to tag a Black-owned fashion brand Loud Brand Studios in her Instagram posts.

Following mounting criticism, Jenner responded, “ok this is a reach. Why would I ever REFUSE to tag a brand and block comments. This is completely false. I think this brand is amazing and I want to show support and will continue to do so. Everyone go check out @LoudBrndStudios.”

The same month, Kylie’s sister Khloe Kardashian got called out by designer Christian Cowan for attempting to sell a dress he loaned to her that was supposed to be returned. “@khloekardashian why are my runway samples I loaned you being sold on your website? We emailed 3 times and had no response,” he wrote on his Instagram stories.

Sure, the Kardashians probably get sent five tonnes of high fashion ‘samples’ a day – but it’s not hard to return the love and support the industries that support you.
