The World’s On Fire, But Kim K Wants You To Know She’s Got 14 Fancy Horses

A lesson in reading the room.

While most of the world is suffering through side effects of the global pandemic, and many are fighting against racial injustices in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests, Kim Kardashian has just reached billionaire status – oh, and she’s treated herself to 14 “gorgeous Friesian horses.”

Speaking of the Kardashians, hear about their krazy Kristmas kard antics below:

Yesterday, Kardashian took to Twitter to introduce her 65.5M followers to daughter North’s horse, and to let the world know “we have 14 gorgeous Freesians on the ranch.”

It wouldn’t be a Kardashian social media post without some degree of controversy, and as expected, Kim’s followers were quick to clapback at her tone deaf tweet.

One user responded, “A record number of people are getting evicted because of the loss of income during the pandemic and you are humble bragging about your 14 horses.”

Another added, “honestly the fact that you chose a moment in time when our unemployment rate is the highest it’s ever been since the Great Depression to brag about having too many fancy horses and then couldn’t even spell the breed correctly is the perfect illustration of America in 2020.”

Never has this clip from Keeping Up With The Kardashians been more relevant.

Sadly, it’s not the only recent instance the Kardashians have totally failed to read the room. Earlier this week, Kanye West celebrated his wife reaching billionaire status with a bizarre Twitter flatlay of flowers and tomatoes.

It’s irritating, but after all these years, are we really that surprised when the Kardashians post the wrong thing at the wrong time?

In the thick of Australia’s January bushfire crisis, Kylie Jenner took to Instagram to share big sis Kim’s story stating that “over half a BILLION animals have been killed” as a result.

Just 12 hours later, Jenner posted a snap of her freshly pedicured toes in a pair of $1,500 mink fur Louis Vuitton slippers. Oh, the irony.

Rather than acting shocked by the Kardashians’ many tone deaf social media statements, perhaps we should just choose to learn from them. And don’t brag about your Friesian horses right now.
