The Kardashians are no strangers to photoshop fails. Off the top of my head, there was the time Kim gave herself six toes, the picture that everyone assumed Khloe has edited her kids eyes in, and Kourtney’s… whatever this is. Bodies don’t work like that, Kourtney. The newest addition to this list though, is the news that Kim Kardashian has photoshopped North into the annual Christmas card.
Normally we’re #blessed every year with a picture of the entire Kardashian/Jenner bunch for their Christmas card, but this year Kim and Kanye decided to go their own way. They said it was because getting the whole family together would be too stressful, which is a problem that almost every other family on planet earth has, but we all do it anyway.
After the picture of the Kardashian-Wests was posted – everyone decked out in a festive grey colour – people started pointing out that something was definitely up with North West.
As celebrities tend to do, Kim Kardashian went on Ellen and confirmed that, yep, they’d photoshopped North in.
“North was having a day, so she refused to be in the shoot. She just was crying because she wanted her specific hairstyle, whatever. I said, ‘Fine you’re not gonna be in the card. That’s the decision, you’re not gonna be in the card. I’m just going to take the family card without you.’ And she was fine with that. The next day she woke up and was like ‘Mommy, I really want to do a card.'”
So they called up the photographer, did a shoot with only North, and popped her in during the editing phase.
Now, I don’t know about you, but pictures of kids screaming during holiday pictures are one of the greatest joys in life. Seriously, maybe it’s because I don’t have any kids of my own, but it’s a specific genre of picture that never fails to crack me up.
I don’t want photoshopped perfection, Kim. I want a kid having a tantrum during a serious moment. Drop the photoshop, and back away slowly.
