Nude Model Who Raised $1M For Aussie Bushfires Shuts Down Trafficking Claims

The Naked Philanthropist is trying to set up a house of model influencers.

Earlier this year, Kaylen Ward AKA The Naked Philanthropist broke all of Instagram’s nudity rules and ended up raising $1M for Aussie bushfire relief in the process. Fast-forward to this week, and she’s landed herself in hot water for trying to set up a house of fellow nude models.

Listen to the GOAT team breakdown all the proactive Aussie bushfire relief efforts on It’s Been A Big Day For…below:

In a since-deleted Twitter video, Ward told her followers, “I’m going to be creating an influencer house for Only Fans girls. If you are interested in moving to L.A., or you already live in L.A. and need a place to live, and you’re interested in becoming an Only Fans model and an Instagram influencer, please let me know…I’m going to be sending out applications and selecting the top 20 girls to live in a house together.”

She said that “potentially we might have a reality TV show in the works,” and explained that she’d be teaching the girls how to do Only Fans, be successful on social media and make money using those platforms. She also explained that the girls would be living in the house “for free,” be able to network with other girls and “get yourself started” in L.A.

Only Fans is a social media platform that allows creators to run a paid subscription content service, build relationships and provide exclusive content to their subscribers, or ‘fans.’ Many people, including Ward, use it to sell nude photos and/or pornography in exchange for money.

Ward was quick to receive backlash on her post, with many followers accusing her of ‘sex trafficking tactics.’

The model responded, tweeting, “I understand that I presented my idea way too soon before I was able to present all of the information and logistics, it was just something that I was really excited about doing and wanted to share with you guys.”

In another video, Ward said, “I’m actually trying to start a legitimate business. I will have a HR team, I will have contracts, all the girls will be employees, they will get paid,” and clapped back at the “serious accusations” being made about her. “My idea is not to exploit sex workers…I’m almost mimicking what some other influencers are doing. There’s houses where they bring in all these Tik Tokers, and create a house for all of them to connect.”

In a later tweet, the nude model wrote, “I’m sorry if anything I said on social media came off wrong but everything I’m doing has good intentions and it really sucks how much y’all are trying to cancel someone and assume things.”

Ward was adamant that her heart was in the right place, but unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like Twitter was the right place to promote her idea. With almost 500,000 Twitter followers, The Naked Philanthropist has a public platform of engaged followers which means she’s exposed to plenty of backlash, but it means she also has an incredible amount of influence, and with that power comes a great deal of responsibility to ensure your messages are received the way you intend them to be.
