At this point, it’s hard to remember a time when Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were happily married and not battling out in court for the world to see. Sadly, their messy legal battle has taken a seemingly petty turn and now the pair are arguing over a poo.
According to multiple reports, Depp testified in court this week that Heard “may have once pooped in their bed as a ‘prank”.
It’s not the first time poo-gate has come up in the Depp vs. Heard legal proceedings. The Mirror reports that during opening arguments, Depp’s legal team told the court, “Depp who in the end was forced to finally call time on this relationship, largely after behaviour by her and her friends following her birthday party in their flat in April 2016 (including he says, one of them defecating on his bed, something which Ms Heard blames on their tiny dog).”
Depp also addressed the poo incident, reportedly saying, “I understand that the following morning [after the party] Ms Heard (or possibly one of her friends) defecated in our shared bed.”
“On 12 May 2016, Ms Heard confessed to our estate manager, Kevin Murphy, that leaving the faeces in the bed had been ‘just a harmless prank’ thereby effectively acknowledging that she had been responsible, whereas she had previously sought to blame our dogs,” he said.
Later, he insisted their Yorkshire Teacup terriers were “too tiny to jump onto the bed nor able to leave faeces like that which was deposited on the bed,” according to the Mirror.
The fact that these two are arguing over poop is mind-boggling, but the poo-in-bed saga has been kicking around for two years now. Reports of the incident first surfaced back in 2018 when Heard’s representatives claimed “Boo [their dog] has some serious bowel control issues.”
“There was never a joke, it wasn’t something done to be disrespectful,” the rep told the Mirror. “It was an innocent thing, it’s what pets will do.”
Perhaps the worst part of Depp and Heard’s legal battle is that the infamous poo is just the tip of a very big iceberg. The former couple have been locked in a public war for several years now, even though they officially split up in 2017.

Currently, Johnny Depp is testifying in court as part of a suit he filed against The Sun over a 2018 article in which the publication called him a “wife beater.”
In a statement, Depp alleged Amber Heard was “sociopathic; she is a narcissist, and she is completely emotionally dishonest.”
“I am now convinced that she came into my life to take from me anything worth taking and then destroy what remained of it,” he reportedly added.
Who knows when the battle between these two will end, but quite clearly, this relationship was not meant to be.
