Now James Franco Has Landed In The Johnny Depp Vs. Amber Heard Mess

This just keeps getting worse.

In case you’ve been distracted by the global pandemic and other more pressing world issues – yes, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are still battling out in the court and things have gone from messy to downright dirty. Especially now that actor James Franco has been dragged into the controversy.

Depp is currently in the thick of a libel lawsuit against UK tabloid The Sun over a 2018 article in which the publication branded him a “wife beater.” News.com.au reports that during day two of court proceedings, it was alleged that Depp “slapped and kicked” his ex-wife Amber Heard on a private jet after accusing her of having an affair with James Franco.

The Sun’s lawyers claimed Heard flew into a “blind rage” over Depp’s drug use, then he began “screaming obscenities about James Franco in front of everyone on the plane.”

Depp repeatedly denies ever assaulting Heard, but did confirm he felt “uncomfortable” with Heard working with Franco on the 2015 crime memoir The Adderall Diaries.

The Evening Standard reports that Depp said, “there is a possibility Ms Heard and I had a fight where those words came out of my mouth, but I didn’t go into a rage and start screaming at her in front of all those people.”

“I would call a man who kicked a woman in the back a savage,” Depp reportedly told the court. “It’s the worst thing that’s ever been said to me.”

Speaking of exes, hear about Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s relationship below:

In July last year, an elevator surveillance video obtained by The Blast allegedly shows Franco meeting up with Heard just 24 hours after the fight that ended her marriage to Depp.

It’s not the only twist of events in the neverending Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard saga. Earlier this week, it was reported that Depp had testified in court that Heard “may have once pooped in their bed as a ‘prank’”.

The Mirror reports that during opening arguments, Depp’s legal team told the court, “Depp who in the end was forced to finally call time on this relationship, largely after behaviour by her and her friends following her birthday party in their flat in April 2016 (including he says, one of them defecating on his bed, something which Ms Heard blames on their tiny dog).”

The question remains: will the legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard ever end?
