Not Even A Children’s Charity Wants Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Money

And it's no surprise, really.

No Kid Hungry does not want to be friends with Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Not long ago, we reported that Joe Biden rejected a donation from problematic comedian Louis CK and it looks like history is repeating itself. Share Our Strength is a non-profit organisation who currently have a campaign called No Kid Hungry that has just turned down a $US200,000 donation from problematic rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Share Our Strength wasted no time in announcing they would be rejecting the donation from Tekashi 6ix9ine after the rapper announced he planned on donating funds via Instagram. In a post made to social media, Tekashi 6ix9ine said: “NEVER forget the children & families who depend on OUR PUBLIC schools for daily meals and nutritions to keep our future leaders growing to their best potential.”

However, according to Insider, a representative from No Kid Hungry confirmed they were rejecting the donation, saying: “We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation… As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values.”

Perhaps, the charity organisation didn’t want to be associated with a rapper who has just been released from prison, has violent allegations from an ex-girlfriend and is tangled up in a child-sex case.

Regardless, Tekashi 6ix9ine expressed his disappointment after the rejection, taking to social media again to say, “(No Kid Hungry would) rather take food out the mouth of these innocent children I (have) never seen something so cruel.”

Tekashi 6ix9ine has only just been released from prison into the confinement of his own home. As someone who suffers from asthma, he was released from prison as he held a higher risk for contracting COVID-19.

Having said that, Tekashi 6ix9ine has wasted no time being out of prison, releasing a new song called ‘GOOBA’, where he shows off his ankle bracelet. His new single is projected to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

Let’s turn our attention to a different tune that topped the Billboard Hot 100. We spoke about ‘Say So’ on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

According to TMZ, Tekashi 6ix9ine signed a $US10 million record deal during his time in prison. The rapper is only months away from finishing his sentence after pleading guilty to several gang-related crimes.
