Gwyneth Paltrow has previously stated that she’ll essentially ignore all our constructive criticism even if it’s correct, which is a pretty non-constructive way of approaching life. Since it’s clear that she doesn’t give a crap, then I suppose she won’t mind me telling her this little nugget: no one asked for your self-serving coronavirus advice or Contagion joke, Gwyneth Paltrow.

Gwynny shared a photo of herself wearing a face mask while on a flight (presumably first class) and wrote this Contagion-referencing piece of coronavirus “advice” in the caption:
“En route to Paris. Paranoid? Prudent? Panicked? Placid? Pandemic? Propaganda? Paltrow’s just going to go ahead and sleep with this thing on the plane. I’ve already been in this movie. Stay safe. Don’t shake hands. Wash hands frequently.”
In case you needed a reminder, Gwynny’s character in Contagion contracts a disease from a bat infection and it goes on to kill millions around the world. Life imitating art it seems, though Gwynny is still alive while her Contagion character is very dead.
Look, there’s nothing wrong with sharing coronavirus advice, especially with the amount of misinformation about the disease that’s going around, but hearing a notorious science-denier like Gwyneth Paltrow suddenly spruiking self-congratulatory words of concern is a bit unsavoury.
The worst part of this is the irony of Gwyneth Paltrow being completely unaware of the panic she’s inadvertently causing with her coronavirus “concern” given how her 6.9 million Instagram followers are comprised predominantly of easily-manipulated people who’ll buy anything she says or sells on Goop.
Hell, why is she even hopping on a first-class flight to Paris if she was so concerned given how the coronavirus is slowly hitting Europe? All this ridiculous sentiment towards Gwyneth Paltrow and her coronavirus “concern” can be summed up with this one tweet:
Okay, I’m being quite harsh on Gwyneth Paltrow here about this coronavirus post and I should probably give her a kudos, not for her concern but for the fact that she actually remembered that she was in Contagion.
