It’s an extremely sad day for Glee fans, the family and friends of actress Naya Rivera with reports her body has been found, five days after she went missing during a boat trip with her son in Lake Piru, Ventura County.
According to TMZ, Ventura County officials have confirmed yesterday that a body had been found at the lake. Law enforcement officials reportedly told the publication the body is that of missing Glee actress Naya Rivera.
Last week, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department stated that Naya Rivera rented a boat at about 1pm local time on July 9 and her son was found on the boat by himself by another boater about three hours later with the Glee star nowhere in sight.
Police were called and a search and rescue dive team were deployed. However, after hours of searching, authorities have shifted the search to a recovery operation as Rivera was feared to have drowned. Hear all the details below:
