Major Artists Call Out 'Fake' Festival So Call The Fyre Brigade

Lil Kim, Eve and Twista have blasted Snoop Dogg's "Lovers and Friends" festival for being "fake".

Just when you thought we were done talking about music festivals, there’s a line up hitting the States in May that looks way too good to be true, and that’s because it just might be.

Speaking of iconic ’00s artists, we had a good ol’ yarn about Jennifer Lopez and Sharkira’s Super Bowl performance on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

Lover’s & Friends Festival looks to be every R&B lover’s dream. It’s got ‘90s icons set to headline (Usher, TLC and Lauryn Hill), it’s got current legends set to perform (Summer Walker, Megan Thee Stallion and Saweetie), not to mention it’s bringing back artists we literally forgot existed (Lil Kim, Twista and Eve).

But, as the line-up dropped, it immediately ran into some controversy, mainly from artists claiming the show wasn’t real. Lil Kim took to her Instagram Story to say, “This is SO FAKE! I am not a part of this.”

Additionally, other artists claimed that they were also not contacted. Trina’s team claimed that they weren’t contacted on Twitter and attempted to contact the festival directly. Additionally, Eve and Mase took to the comments section of Instagram to announce that they weren’t playing the festival either.

Funnily enough, this festival also illuminated some double bookings, mainly from Megan Thee Stallion, which just added more fuel to the fire.

Now, it must be said that quite a few artists have indeed confirmed their attendance. Many artists shared the line-up to their Instagram story (Usher, TLC and Lauryn Hill), whilst some even posted about it (Ginuwine, Tweet, 112).

Also, there were some artists who teased that they weren’t going, before claiming to be involved, like Twista.

Also, it should be noted that the face of Fyre festival, happens to be on this line-up. Just saying.

Does this sound like Fyre Festival 2.0? Kind of. Does this sound like a trainwreck? Oh, definitely. How will it all turn out? Only time will tell. Catch you back in May for an update.
