Lara Bingle’s Rant About ‘5-Star’ Quarantine Calls For The Tiniest Violin

“Where the bloody hell are my privileges??!”

After Scott Morrison announced that all passengers who arrive in Australia from now on will go into mandatory quarantine in hotels for a fortnight, there was always going to be some issues – but, who would have thought the first person with queries would be Lara Bingle?

Lara Worthington (aka Lara Bingle) has just taken to Twitter to complain about the placement of her mother, Sharon Bingle, after returning to Sydney.

The 63-year-old’s quarantine set-up was uploaded by her daughter, with the caption “I don’t think this looks like a 5-star accommodation to me. The next 14 days here for my 63-year-old mum who is showing heavy symptoms. This is unacceptable.” Check out the Tweet here.

While there are a number of luxury hotels in Sydney being used, including the Intercontinental, the Swissotel and the Novotel, it would appear that Lara Bingle’s mum isn’t in one of those get-ups. Attaching photos of the poorly lit room, Lara Bingle’s mother is seems to be placed in a room less than ideal. Images uploaded by Lara Bingle showcase a small room with cork-board runners along the walls and an industrial-esque roof.

Two-thirds of Australia’s coronavirus cases are linked to overseas travellers, hence the mandatory quarantine actions.

Lara Bingle’s post has racked up quite a few responses from angry Twitter users calling out her displayed privilege. One user said, “I have no sympathy – there was no guarantee of 5-star accommodation. You take what you get and just because she’s your mom doesn’t mean she is entitled to 5-star service…” Another user added, “Be thankful she had a roof over her head. No time to be precious Bingle.”

One user even resurfaced her iconic 2006 campaign saying, “Where the bloody hell are my privileges??!”

Lara Bingle’s mum, Sharon, has also taken to Instagram Stories to share her disapproval of the room she was put in.
