Kelly Preston, Actress And Wife Of John Travolta, Dies After Cancer Battle

"She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul."

According to PEOPLE, actress Kelly Preston has sadly passed away at age 57 after a two-year battle with breast cancer.

A family representative told PEOPLE, “On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife and mother, passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer.”

“Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends,” the rep said. “She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”

Kelly Preston and husband John Travolta are parents to three children: 20-year-old Ella, nine-year-old Benjamin, and Jett – who sadly passed away at age 16 in 2009.

With an career spanning 40 years, Preston has appeared in countless incredible films, including 1986’s SpaceCamp, 1988’s Twins and the 1996 classic Jerry Maguire.

In the ’00s, Preston appeared in iconic films including View From The Top, What A Girl Wants and The Cat in the Hat. Her final role was as Victoria Gotti in the 2018 mafia movie Gotti.

Following news of Preston’s tragic passing, her husband John Travolta shared a heartfelt message to Instagram.
