Kate Beckinsale Has No Apologies For Dating Guys That 'Could Be Her Kids'

Mic drop.

Over the past few years, actress Kate Beckinsale’s love life has taken centre stage in the tabloids. From her short-lived fling with 25-year-old comedian Matt Rife, to her meme-worthy game of tonsil hockey with Pete Davidson, and her most recent affair with 22-year-old musician Goody Grace – there are a lot of opinions about Beckinsale’s penchant for younger men. However, according to the actress herself, she DGAF what you think.

Beckinsale recently took to Instagram to share an adorable video in which she (and her fluffy cat) sport googly eyes as the lyric “all eyes on us” from Britney Spears’ track ‘Scream & Shout’ plays in the background.

It’s iconic content that has nothing to do with her love life, but that didn’t stop a troll from making a snide remark in the comments section of Beckinsale’s post.

When the troll commented, “Why do you keep dating guys that could be your children?” Beckinsale wasted no time in clapping back.

“Every relationship I have had has been solely to annoy you,” she responded, virtually dropping the mic.

Sadly, it’s not the first time Kate Beckinsale has been forced to address her age differences with the men she dates.

In a May interview with Women’s Health UK, Beckinsale said “it can feel like a little bit of a political act to be a woman over 32 who’s having any fun at all.”

“It somehow seems to be risque, which is just ridiculous to me,” she added. “I witness men constantly doing whatever they like, whether that’s in relationships or deciding to buy a motorbike or getting a tattoo.”

“It hasn’t been interpreted as, ‘Is he ever going to become a parent?’ or, ‘Why has he had so many girlfriends?’” she said.

Beckinsale’s not the only badass female who has no time for trolls, get the latest on Adele below:

Speaking of her widely publicised relationship with actor Pete Davidson, Beckinsale said, “if everyone’s shitting on you, it can make you feel kind of ugh for a minute – especially if there’s really nothing wrong.”

“If you’re strangling a squirrel or hurting someone, I get it, but living one’s life in a reasonable respectful manner shouldn’t invite anyone to get too excited,” she added.

Sounds like what Kate Beckinsale is ultimately trying to say is: her personal life shouldn’t matter, and everyone should mind their own business.
