Kanye's Twitter Rant Proves We've Learnt Nothing From Britney Spears

He's tweeting about 'Kim K locking him up with a doctor' and more.

Yesterday, Kanye West held his first Presidential rally where he made comments on abortion, slavery and even broke down in tears. As if that wasn’t enough cause for concern, Kanye West has gone on a Twitter spree and has started posting some pretty troubling comments to the social media platform.

Earlier today, Kanye began posting screenshots of Google searches of Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry’s names along with the music video for Michael Jackson’s ‘Black of White’ before his tweets took a more serious turn.

“Kriss don’t play with me you and that Calmye are not allowed around my children,” West tweeted. “Y’all tried to lock me up.”

Less than a minute later – in a serious of cryptic tweets – Kanye began posting about putting his “life on the line” and his “life on God” in reference to his daughter North and wife Kim Kardashian’s sex tape and Playboy shoot.

Later, he tweeted about Shia LaBeouf about Anna Wintour before sharing a screenshot of a message seemingly sent to Kris Jenner, which reads, “This Ye…You ready to talk now…Or are still avoiding my calls.”

In the last hour, Kanye has posted another screenshot of a Google search of the phrase “righteous indignation” and tweeted, “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughter’s life yesterday.”

As West’s tweets keep coming, his retweets, likes and replies are multiplying by the second. However, the conversation around the rapper’s tweets and current mental health condition is turning into a heated debate.

While many social media users are poking fun at Kanye’s confusing Twitter rant, others are pleading that the public take them seriously and realise that this erratic behaviour is a serious cause for concern.

Over the past decade, we’ve seen celebrities including Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes display troubling behaviour on social media and in public, and be met with the same response.

While many people see this behaviour as something to laugh about or turn into a ‘hilarious’ meme, this is no time to joke – especially when there is family and most importantly, children, involved.

We can only hope Kanye West gets the help he needs as soon as possible.
