Gwyneth Paltrow Says It's Totally Your Fault You Don't Like Her

Righto, Gwynny.

We already know that Gwyneth Paltrow won’t accept any criticism of her and/or Goop regardless of whether it is rooted in scientific fact or if it’s just irrational hate from all the haters out there. Now she’s gone one further and said that not only does she not care for anyone’s constructive criticism but all that hate directed towards her is all on y’all and not her.

Speaking of Gwyneth Paltrow and Goop, the GOAT team talk about one of the few positives about her on ‘It’s Been A Big Day For…’ below:

Chatting to Town & Country about Goop and haters, Gwyneth Paltrow says she doesn’t care for approval from anyone because the people who don’t like her are just people who aren’t happy with themselves and are projecting their self-hate onto her.

“The people who are triggered by me—‘I don’t like her because she is pretty and she has money’—it’s because they haven’t given themselves permission to be exactly who they are.

“It doesn’t mean anything to me, because it’s not about me. It’s about what I represent, and that’s about you.”

Yes, Gwynny, I’m sure it’s because it’s because we’re uncomfortable in our own skin and not because of all the pseudo-science crap you keep pushing. But whatever, you don’t care for my opinion nor would you have listened anyway.

But while our criticisms and hate will bounce off her like wooden arrows against a brick wall, Gwyneth Paltrow understands how naive and lacking in self-awareness we think she is (A/N: so naive, holy crap) but she’s honestly believes she’s going to come out better because she can read what’s going on in the world.

“You can keep resisting it, but I’m on the right side of this, I’m watching the market. I’m watching what’s happening. I think what this wellness movement is really about is listening to yourself, tuning into what interests you, and trying things. Find what makes you feel better and go from there.”

Huh, that might be the most honest thing Gwynny has ever said. The key thing isn’t whether or not she believes in the crap she peddles through Goop, all that matters is others believes in it. How shrewd but given how many people are buying into this Goop nonsense, she may be onto something.

But at the end of the day, Gwyneth thinks a lot of the crap she cops is because of our inability to accept that she’s more multi-faceted than we give her credit for.

“What’s silently incendiary is we’re all saying we are more than one thing. Why can’t I get acupuncture and read a scientific paper? I can be intellectual, I can be sexual, I can be maternal, I can be all of these things.”

You know what, fair point. Aside from the “sexual” part of that statement (due to her previous complaints on how isolation life is killing her and her husband’s sex life), Gwyneth Paltrow makes a good argument as she’s proven herself to not only be a good actress but also a shrewd businesswoman who knows how to tap into the wellness market.

Not that she cares what we think of her.
