Florence Pugh Wishes You Would Get The Fk Over Her Relationship With Zach Braff

"I do not need you to tell me who I should and shouldn’t love."

Stuck in COVID-induced isolation, we’ve all got buckets of time on our hands now – and so do Internet trolls. Keyboard warriors are having a field day amidst the pandemic, and taking immense pleasure in criticising celebrity relationships, including that of Florence Pugh and Zach Braff.

The Little Women actress took to social media recently to kindly request her fans stop spreading hate in regards to her relationship with Scrubs star Zach Braff.

Speaking of celeb relationships, hear about the social media frenzy of Jennifer Aniston’s recent run-in with ex Brad Pitt below:

“On Monday, I posted a photo in honour of Zach’s birthday and I wrote a birthday message underneath,” she began. “Within about eight minutes of the photo being posted I had about 70% of the comments hurling abuse and being horrid – basically bullying someone on my page.”

“It is the first time in my entire Instagram life that I’ve had to turn off the comments on my page.”

“I will not allow that behaviour on my page,” she said. “The world is aching, and the world is dying, and a few of you decided to bully for no reason.”

“I’m 24 years old. I do not need you to tell me who I should and shouldn’t love. I would never, ever tell anyone who they can and cannot love. It is not your place. It has nothing to do with you,” she stated. “If those rules are something you do not like. Please unfollow me. The abuse you throw at him, is abuse you’re throwing at me.”

Sadly, it’s not the first time Pugh and Braff have faced unnecessary criticism about their relationship and 21-year age gap. Late last year, Pugh posted a photo of herself to Instagram, but when Braff commented with the princess emoji, one of her followers reacted: “@zachbraff you’re 44 years old.”

The comment caught the attention of Florence Pugh herself, who simply responded: “and yet he got it,” with the OK hand sign emoji.

Pugh’s Instagram message is just another handy reminder to mind your own business and as the old saying goes: live, and let live. Plus, she’s got a point – we’re all going through a challenging time and need to focus on caring for each other rather than tearing others down.
