Coronavirus Has Lead To Ariana Grande Finally Giving Up Her Ponytail

And it's stunning.

There are just as many pros as there are cons to working from home in the midst of a global pandemic. Our backs and necks are suffering without ergonomic tables and chairs, the line between the living room and the office is becoming increasingly blurred, and technical issues can make or break an important meeting. However, on the upside – we’ve been spared the lengthy commute into work and we don’t have to wear a bra or do our hair. Just ask Ariana Grande, who has fully embraced her natural hair while in isolation.

Hear about the crazy lengths people have been going to for a new haircut during isolation:

The singer took to Twitter earlier this week to share a selfie revealing her real hair – a mop of beautiful, glossy curls. It sounds like Grande was just as shocked as we were, captioning the pic, “get a load a dis.”

Let’s be honest – Ari’s natural hair is a far cry from the usual slick, sky high ponytail she’s become known for over the years. In fact, Grande is rarely seen without her signature pony. According to Insider, the singer started wearing high ponytails because it was a “comfortable style she could wear with her bleach-damaged hair.”

“I wear it in a ponytail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down,” Grande said. “It’s all that works for now (AND I’m comfortable for the first time in years).”

Ariana might find her ponytail comfy, but speaking from personal experience, tying my hair up that tight during high school left me with nothing but a huge knot and a thumping headache.

If anything, Ariana Grande’s stunning curls should inspire all of us to ditch the hair straightener, blow dryer and hair product during isolation and embrace our ~natural selves~

Just please, for the love of God, don’t try and give yourself a fringe, or attempt to give your partner a ‘fade’ unless you are a professionally trained hair stylist. That will only end in tears.
