Come Giggle At The Wiggles Selling Out The Same Arena Trump Struggled To Fill

Make America toot toot, chugga chugga again.

We never thought that we would ever use the words ‘The Wiggles’ and ‘Donald Trump’ in the same sentence, but it’s 2020 and anything seems to be possible. Earlier today, we reported on Donald Trump’s epic fail of a political rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but now we have the best comparison to contextualise it all.

Every element of this rally made our stomachs churn. During the rally, Donald Trump drank from a glass of water and received roaring applause because apparently, there was concern over the American President’s ability to consume H2O. Donald Trump also went on a 10-minute rant inspired by his inability to walk down a ramp swiftly. And also, six of Donald Trump’s staffers, who put the event together, tested positive for the coronavirus.

But, perhaps the most cringe-worthy element about this whole rally was how empty it was. Trump’s  ‘Make America Great Again’ rally was held in the BOK Center (Bank of Oklahoma Center) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And while this arena can hold up to 19,000 people, according to NBC, only approximately 6,200 people attended. As a result, Twitter has thrown an image of The Wiggles playing at the same venue to show just how much bigger of a crowd turned up for them and not Trump.

The Wiggles played at the BOK Center on August 2nd in 2009, as part of their Go Bananas Live Tour and sold out the show weeks before playing there

We actually spoke to Murray from The Wiggles on this episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

Despite high attendance expectations and “over 1M ticket requests” Trump’s ‘Make American Great Again’ rally, had an extremely low turn out thanks to the efforts of TikTokers and the k-pop fandom. Videos began popping up on TikTok and Twitter advocating for users to reserve tickets to Trump’s rally without attending. And that they did.

Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale attempted to downplay the situation saying: “Leftists and online trolls doing a victory lap, thinking they somehow impacted rally attendance, don’t know what they’re talking about or how our rallies work.” But the queen, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was quick to call out Parscale’s claims, saying: “Actually you just got ROCKED by teens on TikTok who flooded the Trump campaign w/ fake ticket reservations and tricked you into believing a million people wanted your white supremacist open mic enough to pack an arena during COVID.” Check out her Tweets here:
