It’s official everyone, Donald Trump has left the White House and Joe Biden has been sworn in as the 46th President of the United States.
What a nightmare the past four years have been, 2020 being the obvious choice for Absolute Worst. But it’s safe to say with President Biden and history making, first Black person, first Asian American woman sworn in as US Vice-President running the show, we’re in better hands.
And Hollywood agrees. During Biden’s inauguration (which Trump missed, the first time the preceding President has skipped this event in over 150 years), celebrities from the farthest corners of the internet shared their thoughts.
Greta Thunberg threw some shade at Trump referencing the time he sent a bizarre Tweet her way:
He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see! pic.twitter.com/G8gObLhsz9

Chrissy Teigen, vocal Trump hater, asked Biden for a follow as she’s been blocked by Trump for four years.

Stephen King wrote a beautiful little poem to bid the Oompa Loompa farewell:
Don, you're fired.

Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya on your way out.
Jonathan Van Ness basically said what we all were thinking as we watched Trump leave the White House:
That was some weird ass shit.

Andy Cohen happily handed him back to Florida:
He’s all yours, FLORIDA!!!!! 👋

And Barack Obama handled today like a gentleman and focused on President Joe Biden:
Congratulations to my friend, President @JoeBiden! This is your time. pic.twitter.com/LXzxGnBAfz

We should do the same, and focus on what’s important, which is Biden being sworn in with the likes of Lady Gaga, J. Lo, Fall Out Boy, Will.I.Am, Carole King, Ben Harper, and heaps more performing in a big gig hosted by Debra Messing and Keegan-Michael Key, while Trump got… reality singer Evancho (who?!?).
