Bhad Bhabie, aka Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli, aka the Cash Me Ousside, How Bout Dah girl, has gone on Instagram Live and thrown a ton of shade at Billie EIlish for not answering her DMs. In the middle of a global pandemic, somehow this is still the most 2020 sentence I’ve ever written.
In the middle on an Instagram Live video, Bhad Bhabie was asked by someone if she and Billie Eilish are still friends.
“I think I’m friends with Billie, I don’t know if Billie is my friend. Every time I DM her and give her my number, she doesn’t text me. I mean, I don’t know, I guess that’s what happens when bitches get famous. It could be that. I’m not tripping. I know who my real friends are.”
The two have actually seemed pretty close in the past, so it’s not like Billie was getting DMs from a person she’d never met before. The last time the two had any public interaction was in November, on a video that Bhad Bhabie had posted of herself rapping to Freak Nasty by Megan Thee Stallion. Billie left a comment telling her, and I quote, “bitch watch the road.”
I can’t say I disagree with Billie there, but anyway.
Billie has spoken openly about not reading Instagram comments anymore for the sake of her mental health, saying that pouring over what people were saying about her was ruining her life.
It might be something to do with that, or it might just be that Billie is enormously busy. On top of everything else she’s been up to, Billie is celebrating the first birthday of her debut album, when we all fall asleep, where do we go.
