6 Celebs Who Have Turned Themselves Into Hilarious Memes

That's hot.

There is nothing more endearing than seeing a celeb who can laugh at themselves via a meme format, which is why we’re in love with these icons.

We spoke about this on today’s episode of It’s Been A Big Day For…

In the age of social media (and more specifically TikTok), we’re increasingly seeing celebrities share their personality with the world. And while we love seeing celebrities hop on TikTok to do a little boogie here and there, what really makes us smile is when celebrities get self-referential.

We love seeing celebs react to their own meme status and here are our faves.

Jason Derulo

After having one of the most iconic music careers of the new millennium, Jason Derulo has found a career doing comedy and we love that for him. After the image of him “falling down the stairs at the MET Gala” (not really) went viral, Jason Derulo has fully embraced his meme status, starring in Cats and going crazy on TikTok with Will Smith. A comedic king. It’s crazy to think that there are going to be kids who only know Jason Derulo from TikTok and not from the ‘Watcha Say’ days. Sigh.

Debby Ryan

It’s truly an amazing sight, seeing the Disney Channel kids grow up and have to deal with how cringe they were on their old tv shows and TikTok do love to drag old Disney shows through the mud. There’s the trend of users recreating Demi Lovato’s overacting in Camp Rock, there’s the trend of Hannah Montana’s over-the-top transition vocals, but the funniest trend of them all is seeing the people drag Debby Ryan’s character in Radio Rebel. Nothing makes us happier than seeing Debby Ryan recreate her old awkward, e-boy, smirk, head tilt persona.

Cher

Cher has doubled down on the “And Featuring Cher” meme and the world is all the better for it. This meme hit its peak during Mama Mia 2 but damn it if it doesn’t make her even cooler than before.

Elon Musk

It feels like everything Elon does is meant to be a meme. Let’s just break down his most iconic moments. Elon Musk tweets which subsequently sees the stock market crash. He smokes weed on Joe Rogan’s podcast. And he name’s his kid after an internet modem password. No one is doing it like Elon. No one.

Mariah Carey

There is no musician who has embraced their meme status harder than Mariah Carey and we love her for that. For context, Mariah Carey was once asked in an interview what she thinks of Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey responded with a cool “I don’t know her.” Since this interview, Mariah Carey still insists she doesn’t know who J-Lo is. Even after movie appearances, a prime-time television judging slot and a Super Bowl performance. Classic Mariah.

Will Smith

Will Smith is somehow both the best and worst thing about YouTube and YouTube rewind series and then 2020 gave us the buzzword of the year: “Entanglement.” Even though the definition of the word was cleared up for us, it’s still a meme and no one can deny that.

Paris Hilton

How could we not mention the queen of references. “That’s hot” was cool in the ’00s and thanks to Paris Hilton’s new YouTube channel, it still is today.

Gotta love celebs and their memes.
