Someone Came Up With An Idea Of What Australian Pokemon Games Would Look Like And Now They Need To Happen

No, it's not just Kangaskhans as far as the eye can see.

Nintendo has drawn inspiration from the real world for several Pokémon regions: the first four regions are inspired by real places in Japan, Unova is inspired by New York, Kalos is inspired by France, Alola is inspired by Hawaii, and the upcoming Galar region from Pokémon Sword and Shield looks an awful lot like the United Kingdom.

One Twitter user considered all of that, and thought: what if Pokémon, but Australian?

And the results are beautiful.

They even followed it up with a couple of logos for the sequels…

The pièce de résistance is definitely this drawing of Steve Irwin as a Pokémon trainer flanked by Totodile and Krokorok, two crocodile Pokémon.

Some people were reminded of the range of Australian Pokémon that Paul Robertson created a few years back, and if you haven’t seen it before, it’s a thing of beauty:

I’m partial to the Sprinkels/Lamintonne/Pavlover evolutionary line, myself.

If Nintendo are out of ideas on their next set of games, they need to hit @VivinkArt up ASAP to make these Aussie games a reality.
