Boy That Prince Andrew Interview About Jeffrey Epstein Was Weird, Hey?

“I am not one to, as it were, hug..."

Prince Andrew has given an extremely unusual interview regarding his connection to Jeffrey Epstein with the BBC.

The Royal made the appearance in an attempt to shut down accounts that he was involved in the trafficking of Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre (who was 17 at the time), and the result was a bizarre display that has raised eyebrows.

In the interview, he argued that he could not have sweated over Giuffre (as she has said he did while dancing) because he was unable to sweat at the time.

“There’s a slight problem with, with, with, with the sweating,” he told Emily Maitlis.

“I didn’t sweat at the time because I had suffered what I would describe as an overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands war when I was shot at, and I simply . . . it was almost impossible for me to sweat,” he said.

He also suggested the photo picturing him and Giuffre was a fake because he doesn’t hug people.

“From the investigations that we’ve done, you can’t prove whether that photograph is faked or not because it is a photograph of a photograph of a photograph,” he said.

Prince Andrew told the BBC that he has no memory of the photo being taken and that he doesn’t show affection so it couldn’t be him:

“I am not one to, as it were, hug, and public displays of affection are not something that I do.”

In an equally uncomfortable moment, he explained that his choice to stay at Epstein’s home post-prison let down the Royal family… not you know, the wider public.

“I kick myself for on a daily basis because it was not something that was becoming of a member of the royal family,” he said.

“And we try and uphold the highest standards and practices, and I let the side down, simple as that.”

He also denied accusations that he had sex with Giuffre who was a victim of sex offender, Epstein.

Stan Pottinger, the lawyer who represents Virginia Giuffre, gave a statement to The Post regarding Andrew’s comments:

“To deny a recollection of Virginia in an interview is awfully weak and untested,” he told the outlet.

“If the prince will only accept our invitation to testify under oath we will be happy to refresh his recollection.”
