We Finally Know When We're Getting The Crown S3 And The Witcher On Netflix

Sweet, now can Netflix please tell us the return dates of G.L.O.W and Mindhunter, please?

December 8, 2017. That was when the most recent episodes of The Crown were released on Netflix. Yes, it’s been quite a long time.

But that long wait is about to finally end because the streaming giant has finally given us some deets on when we can expect Olivia Colman to win all the awards when she takes over Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Deadline, season three of The Crown will drop in the “second half of 2019” alongside other highly-anticipated shows and movies like Stranger Things and Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, giving Netflix a hell of a release slate over the next few months. Okay, it’s not a specific release date but we’ll take it nonetheless.

While we won’t be seeing Gillian Anderson rock it as Margaret Thatcher until season four of The Crown, nor do we really know much in terms of storylines other than everyone is a touch older and it’s the swinging 60s, we’re super keen on seeing what Olivia brings to Elizabeth because it’s going to be hard to top Claire’s wide range of glares and stares.

If the return of The Crown doesn’t pique your interest, then perhaps some Witcher related news will.

It is also reported that Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher will be released at some point in the “last three months of 2019”. Again, no specific release date but an October to December release window is much earlier than we expected so no complaints there.

And besides, we’re really looking forward to all the memes and jokes once we all see Henry Cavill, aka the bastard child of Lucius Malfoy and Legolas, in action.

Since they’re in a charitable mood, perhaps Netflix can let us know when season three of G.L.O.W and season two of Mindhunter will return? Pretty please?
