It’s been a big day for… Listening to...

Um, Ian Somerhalder's Got A New Vampire Show And It Looks Terrifying

He looks bloody good though.

Ian Somerhalder, famous for his work on The Vampire Diaries, has a new show coming out and it’s about… vampires!

The Netflix series is called V-Wars and will be out in early December, but in this show, Somerhalder isn’t playing another vampire, but a good guy human – the exact opposite of his most famous character Damon Salvatore.

Somerhalder took to Instagram to share a video with his fans about the show, saying he hoped they liked it as he’d put his whole heart and soul into making it – even sending him to hospital at one point apparently.

The actor is also a producer in the series and didn’t go into further detail about the hospital visit, but maybe he will once the show’s out.

Netflix has now released a bunch of pictures from the show and it looks like it’s going to get very creepy indeed!

I mean, come on, those teeth in the second picture?! That is absolutely terrifying. But hey, at least Ian looks damn good in that first picture.

V-Wars is about a mysterious disease that transforms people into vampires and sees Somerhalder’s Dr Luther Swann pitted against his best friend Michael Fayne (Adrian Holmes) who is now a powerful vampire.

As the disease begins to spread and more and more people are transformed into vampires, there’s a divide in society of humans vs vampires. While Swann tries to figure out what’s happening, Fayne becomes a leader of the vampires.

Somerhalder actually gave fans a sneak peek at his character last year, writing, “Here he is… Dr. Luther Swann. Would you trust this man?”

V-Wars is based on an anthology series conceived by Jonathan Maberry with V-Wars: Chronicles of the Vampire Wars being the first book in the series. V-Wars: Blood and Fire, V-Wars: Night Terrors and V-Wars: Shockwaves followed.
